The Top 10 Best Nickelodeon Game Shows That Will Make You Nostalgic

In the ‘90s, Nickelodeon was the home of some of the most popular game shows on television, and no one could argue that they weren’t some of the best game shows on television, too. These top 10 best Nickelodeon game shows made us laugh, made us giggle, and even made us excited to be part of their live studio audiences! We feel like these top 10 best Nickelodeon game shows are the best ones ever created and are sure to bring you back to your childhood days full of laughter and fun. Check out our picks below!

    1- Double Dare

One of the most popular game shows on Nickelodeon was Double Dare. Double dare is on the top in the list of top 10 best Nickelodeon game shows. The premise of Double dare was simple: two teams would compete to answer trivia questions. If they got the question right, they could dare the other team to answer a physical challenge. If they got the question wrong, they had to take the physical challenge themselves. The challenges were always messy and usually involved slime or food. They were always hilarious to watch! One of my favorite games was when they filled up the trash can with water and then used orange juice as paint. The contestants then needed to race back down a long ramp without spilling any water on their clothes while also painting their teammates with orange juice as they ran by them. So much fun!

2- Legends of the Hidden Temple

Do you remember Legends of the Hidden Temple? It was one of the best game shows ever! Legend of the hidden temple is on second position in the list of top 10 best Nickelodeon game shows. Three teams of two kids would compete in physical and mental challenges to find a hidden treasure. The show was full of suspense and excitement, and it always left us wanting more. One of my favorite things about this show is that all three teams were on an equal playing field – everyone had the same odds of winning. It was fun when the teams competed with each other to win the final prize.

One problem with this show is that after six seasons, there were too many prizes given away on TV for any kid to want them (the producers said they gave away $250,000 worth). But overall, this was a really fun TV series!

    3- GUTS

On third position in the list of the top 10 best Nickelodeon game shows we have GUTS. Remember GUTS? This was an epic game show in which kids athletes compete against each other in a series of physical and mental challenges. In every episode, three children compete against each other in four rounds that were based on skills in popular sports, such as basketball, baseball, football, and soccer. While most of these events involve the use of a bungee harness, others use a wave pool, and occasionally a racetrack is used. During the race, more creative and ambitious events were developed, including a built-up ski trail. By this, every kid would be given points after each round and the winners would be awarded medals.

    4- Family Double Dare

Family Double Dare was a game show that is among the top 10 Best Nickelodeon Game shows that will make you nostalgic. It was aired on Nickelodeon from 1988 to 1993. The premise of the show was simple: two teams of two would compete in physical and mental challenges to win prizes. The challenges were often messy, and the team that won the most challenges would go on to face the dreaded obstacle course. The obstacle course was always the highlight of the show, and it was always a nail-biting finish to see which team would come out victorious. Family Double Dare was one of the most popular game shows of its time, and it’s one of our favorites. It paved the way for many other family-friendly game shows like Lip Sync Battle and Win Lose or Draw. It also helped launch some careers too! Cameron Boyce (from Disney Channel’s Jessie) got his start as a teen contestant on Family Double Dare! We’ll never forget watching this game show growing up and we’re sure you’ll love it too!

    5- Figure it out

Do you remember watching Figure it out when you were younger? It was one of the best game shows in the list of top 10 best Nickelodeon game show. The premise was simple: two teams of kids had to guess the secret talent of a mysterious guest. One of the best things about game shows is that they’re always filled with energy and excitement, Wild & Crazy Kids is also one of them. The show, which ran from 1990 to 1992, was hosted by Omar Gooding and Donnie Jeffcoat. Each episode featured two teams of kids competing in a series of physical challenges. The show was a big hit for all ages, it was watched by kids and adults both. The show was very captivating and it guaranteed to entertain you for at least an hour!

The show got great viewers in America and got popularity by which it is in the list of the top 10 best Nickelodeon game shows that will make you nostalgic.

    7- Win, Lose, or Draw

On the 7th we have Win, Lose or Draw in the list of the top 10 best Nickelodeon game shows. It was a classic game show that pits two teams against each other in a drawing competition. The object of the game is to guess what your partner is drawing, and if you can’t guess, you have to draw something yourself. If you can’t draw, you lose points. The first team to reach 100 points wins the game. Win, Lose or Draw was hosted by Marc Summers and aired on Nickelodeon from 1987 to 1990. It was one of the most popular game shows on Nickelodeon and inspired several imitators. If you’re looking for a nostalgic trip down memory lane, this is the show for you!

    8- The Big Help

Do you remember The Big Help? It was a game show where kids helped celebrities complete tasks to win money for charity. Some of the challenges were wacky, like throwing pies at each other or walking on stilts. But the best part was seeing how much fun the celebrities had while helping out a good cause. A few years ago, The Big Help would have been considered an outdated relic from the past. However, with reality shows dominating the scene and a people yearning for simpler times, it seems as if there’s a place in our hearts for this nostalgic program after all.

They leave some really good memories in our hearts, all these memories are just so lovely that we can’t help but smile when we see them. And it seems that even the celebs have some favorite moments too!

    9- Brain Surge

Brain Surge was a game show that aired on Nickelodeon from 2009 to 2011. The premise of the show was simple: contestants had to complete various mental and physical challenges to win prizes. Some of the challenges were downright wacky, but that’s part of what made Brain Surge so much fun to watch. One of my favorite episodes involved two teams using one hand each to stack as many water balloons as they could. A seemingly innocuous challenge like that would be child’s play for a lot of people – especially children – but it became an intense battle between the two teams, with some members looking visibly stressed out. When it came time for the second team to stack their balloons, they simply laughed and called off their attempt after seeing how high up their opponents stacked theirs.

Brain Surge may not have been complicated or cerebral enough for more seasoned puzzle-solvers, but for anyone who grew up watching this game show, there are plenty of fond memories worth revisiting now that it’s back in the air! And the show also got the position in the 10 Best Nickelodeon Game shows that will make you nostalgic.

    10- Get The Picture

Get the Picture is one of the top 10 best Nickelodeon game shows that will make you nostalgic. This game is played between two teams in which every team has to answer the questions and play some physical activities to guess the picture that is displayed on the large screen. This show was on aired on Nickelodeon in 1991, hosted by Mike O’Malley.

Watching the game show was entertaining and exciting. It was fun watching the contestants guessing the pictures.
